Minyak bakar

Minyak bakar atau minyak berat adalah hasil distilasi dari penyulingan minyak tetapi belum membentuk residu akhir dari proses penyulingan itu sendiri. Biasanya warna dari minyak bakar ini adalah hitam . Selain itu minyak bakar lebih pekat dibandingkan dengan bahan bakar diesel. Secara umum kegunaan minyak bakar adalah untuk bahan bakar pengapian langsung pada industri - industri besar, PLTU dan juga digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif bahan bakar pada industri menengah kecil lainnya. Minyak bakar juga sering dikenal dengan istilah fuel oil.
