	Kutikula Cosmochlaina yang didapatkan dari Burgsvik Beds dengan metode persiapan fosil (en). Diameter sel-selnya kira-kira berukuran 12 μm.

Nematophyta adalah kelompok organisme darat yang bersifat parafiletik, mungkin termasuk beberapa tumbuhan dan juga ganggang.^[1]^[2] Nematophyta hanya diketahui dari catatan fosil, dari zaman Silur hingga Devon Awal di Chert Rhynie.^[3]

Sedikitnya definisi yang jelas mengenai nematophyta menjadikannya sebagai takson keranjang sampah. Seluruh jenis tabung dan kutikula berpola sel dari Silur disebut "nematophyta".
