Sir Nigel Barnard Hawthorne CBE (5 April 1929 – 26 Desember 2001) adalah seorang aktor Inggris. Ia memerankan Sir Humphrey Appleby, Sekretaris Permanen dalam sitkom 1980an Yes Minister dan Sekretaris Kabinet dalam sekuelnya, Yes, Prime Minister. Untuk perannya, ia memenangkan empat BAFTA TV Awards untuk Best Light Entertainment Performance. Ia memenangkan BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role dan dinominasikan untuk Academy Award for Best Actor karena memerankan Raja George III dalam The Madness of King George (1994). Ia kemudian memenangkan BAFTA TV Award untuk Best Actor, untuk serial 1996 The Fragile Heart. Ia juga merupakan pemenang Olivier Award dan Tony Award untuk karyanya dalam teater.
