Dibentuk pada 1977 oleh Rafael Martínez, Norma Editorial menerbitkan komik Spanyol asli (seperti Miguelanxo Prado), terjemahan Spanyol dari manga Jepang (seperti karya Kia Asamiya, Clamp, Haruhiko Mikimoto, Katsuhiro Otomo, dan Masamune Shirow) serta terjemahan Spanyol dari komik dan novel grafis Amerika dan Eropa (termasuk karya Will Eisner, Frank Miller, Dave Gibbons, Enki Bilal, Hugo Pratt, Manu Larcenet, Joann Sfar, Lewis Trondheim).
