Obat topikal

Obat topikal adalah obat yang dipakai di tempat lesi.[1] Kata topikal berasal dari kata topos yang berarti lokasi atau tempat.[2] Obat topikal terdiri dari vehikulum (bahan pembawa) dan zat aktif. Sediaan topikal yang tersedia ditujukan untuk mendapat efikasi maksimal zat aktif obat dan menyediakan alternatif pilihan bentuk sediaan yang terbaik.[3][4] Obat topikal merupakan salah satu bentuk obat yang sering dipakai dalam terapi dermatologi.
