Octavio Paz Lozano (31 Maret 1914 – 19 April 1998) adalah seorang penulis, penyair dan diplomat dari Meksiko. Ia mendapatkan Penghargaan Internasional Neustadt Kesusastraan pada tahun 1982 dan Penghargaan Nobel Kesusastraan pada tahun 1990.
Masa Kecil
Ia mulai bersentuhan dengan dunia sastra berkat pengaruh kakeknya yang memiliki koleksi buku demikian lengkap di perpustakaannya. Perpustakaan itu memuat sebagian besar koleksi sastra klasik Meksiko dan Eropa.
