Patrick Grainville (lahir 1 Juni 1947) adalah seorang novelis Prancis. Dia menghabiskan masa kecilnya di Villerville, sebuah kota kecil di sebelah timur Deauville. Sebagai Professor bidang Sastra, ia menerima Prix Goncourt pada tahun 1976 saat usianya baru 29 tahun, melalui novel keempatnya, Les Flamboyants ("The Flasher").[1]

Dia telah banyak menulis tentang Afrika, di mana dia melakukan misi kooperatif.[2] Dia adalah profesor bahasa Prancis di Lycée variste Galois di Sartrouville. Grainville juga kritikus sastra untuk Le Figaro. Pada tahun 2018, ia terpilih menjadi anggota Académie française.[3]
