Perilimfe

Penampang koklea. Perilimfe terdapat di skala timpani dan skala vestibuli.

Perilimfe adalah cairan ekstraseluler yang terletak di koklea, tepatnya pada bagian skala timpani dan skala vestibuli. Komposisi ionik perimlife seperti pada plasma dan cairan serebrospinal. Kation terbanyak adalah natrium.

Perlimfe dan endolimfe memiliki komposisi ionik yang unik yang sesuai untuk menjalankan fungsinya yaitu mengatur rangsangan elektrokimiawi dari sel-sel rambut di indra pendengaran. Potensoal listrik dari endolimfe ~80-90 mV lebih positif dari perilimfe.
