Phillip David Lewis (lahir 14 Februari 1968) adalah aktor, komedian dan sutradara televisi asal Amerika Serikat. Dia terkenal karena berperan sebagai manajer hotel Mr. Moseby di serial Disney Channel, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody dan spin-off-nya, The Suite Life on Deck. Lewis juga pernah tampil di serial seperti Lizzie McGuire, Friends, The Wayans Bros., Yes, Dear, Scrubs dan How I Met Your Mother.

Awal kehidupan

Lewis lahir pada 14 Februari 1968 di Uganda dari orang tua asal Amerika Serikat.[1][2][3] Ayahnya, Delano Lewis, menjabat sebagai direktur asosiasi Korps Perdamaian Amerika Serikat dan direktur negara untuk Nigeria dan Uganda pada saat itu dan kemudian menjabat sebagai Duta Besar Amerika Serikat untuk Afrika Selatan.[4][5][6] Lewis memiliki tiga saudara laki-laki.[2]

Kehidupan pribadi

Pada akhir Desember 1991, Lewis ditangkap setelah dia menabrak Isabel Duarte, seorang penduduk Bethesda, Maryland, dalam kecelakaan mobil. Dia didakwa melakukan pembunuhan dan mengemudi dalam keadaan mabuk.[7][8] Kadar alkohol dalam darahnya pada saat itu diukur tiga kali lipat dari batas legal.[9] Pengadilan menjatuhkan hukuman lima tahun penjara kepada Lewis, tetapi menangguhkan empat tahun penjara, mengutip karya Lewis setelah penangkapannya dengan grup teater berbasis penjara yang tampil di penjara, sekolah dan gereja, untuk menyoroti konsekuensi penyalahgunaan narkoba. Lewis juga diperintahkan menjalani masa percobaan dua tahun setelah dibebaskan dan melakukan 350 jam pelayanan masyarakat.[7][8][9]

Lewis menikah dengan Megan Benton Lewis dan memiliki dua anak perempuan.[10]
