Contoh pikselasi. Ketika ditampilkan dengan ukuran normal, gambar ini tampak halus (tidak ada pikselasi), tetapi jika diperbesar terlalu banyak (kanan bawah), akan terlihat kotak-kotak satu warna yang merupakan piksel dari gambar bitmap ini.
Pikselasi juga dapat digunakan untuk menyamarkan isi gambar.

Pikselasi (bahasa Inggris: pixellation) adalah efek yang terjadi ketika sebuah gambar bitmap ditampilkan dalam ukuran begitu besar sehingga piksel-piksel yang ada dalam gambar tersebut tampak sebagai kotak-kotak satu warna.
