pkill adalah utilitas baris perintah yang mulanya dibuat untuk sistem operasi Solaris 7 pada 1998. Selain Solaris, pkill diimplementasikan ulang di sistem operasi Linux dan beberapa sistem operasi BSD.[1][2]

Seperti halnya perintah kill dan killall, pkill digunakan untuk mengirimkan sinyal ke proses komputer. Perintah pkill mendukung penggunaan ekspresi reguler dan kriteria pencocokan lainnya.[3]

Contoh penggunaan

Mematikan proses acroread yang paling baru dibuat: 

pkill -n acroread

Mengirimkan sinyal USR1 ke proses acroread: 

pkill -USR1 acroread
