Prok-bruk asia (Rhinolophus macrotis) adalah sebuah spesies kelelawar dalam keluarga Rhinolophidae yang berasal dari Tiongkok, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Filipina, Thailand, dan Vietnam.[1]

Taksonomi

Prok-bruk asia dideskripsikan sebagai spesies baru pada 1844 oleh zoologis Inggris Edward Blyth. Holotipenya dikumpulkan oleh Brian Houghton Hodgson di Nepal.[2] Nama spesies "macrotis" berasal dari kata bahasa Yunani kuno makrós yang artinya "panjang" dan oûs yang artinya "telinga".[3] Spesies tersebut terdiri dari banyak subspesies. Sebuah makalah tahun 2008 mencantumkan tujuh subspesies dari spesies tersebut:[4]
