Prosauropoda adalah kelompok dinosaurus herbivora yang hidup pada masa Trias akhir dan periode Jura awal.
Mereka merupakan herbivora terbesar pada masanya, dan beberapa spesies memiliki panjang yang dapat mencapai 6 hingga 10 meter. Semua prosauropoda memiliki leher yang panjang dan kepala yang kecil, kaki depan yang lebih pendek dari kaki belakang, dan cakar jempol yang sangat besar untuk mempertahankan diri. Mereka diduga merupakan nenek moyang sauropoda, tetapi ada pula ahli yang berpendapat bahwa mereka ada pada masa yang sama.
