Balkh (Persia / Pashto: بلخ) adalah salah satu dari tiga puluh empat provinsi di Afganistan. Balkh terletak di bagian utara negara itu dan namanya berasal dari kota kuno Balkh, dekat kota modern. Ibu kotanya adalah Mazar-e Sharif.

Provinsi ini meliputi area seluas 16.840 km2. Hampir setengah dari provinsi ini pegunungan atau semi daerah pegunungan (48,7%), sementara setengah dari daerah (50,2%) terdiri atas tanah datar.[1]

Demografi dan populasi

Balkh memiliki jumlah penduduk 1.123.948 jiwa. Bahasa yang dipakai adalah bahasa Dari Persia (50%), Pashtun (27%), Turkmen (11,9%) dan Uzbek (10,7%).[1]
