Provinsi Koshi adalah salah satu provinsi di Nepal. Kode ISO 3166-2 provinsi yang beribu kota di Biratnagar ini adalah NP-P1. Menurut sensus 2021, jumlah penduduk provinsi yang luasnya 25.905 kilometer persegi ini adalah 4.961.412 jiwa.[1]

Demografi
Etnis
Nepal dihuni oleh beragam etnis. Dari puluhan etnis yang ada di Nepal, etnis Chhetri merupakan etnis dengan jumlah terbanyak. Pada Sensus 2011 jumlahnya mencapai 4.398.053 jiwa atau 16,60% dari 26.494.504 jiwa penduduk Nepal. Kemudian ada etnis Hill Brahman yang jumlahnya sebanyak 3,226,903 jiwa (12,12%), diikuti oleh etnis Magar, Tharu, Thamnag, Newar, Rai, Kami, Yadav, dan lainnya.[3]
Agama
Penduduk Nepal menganut agama yang beragam, dengan mayoritas beragama Hindu. Hasil sensus penduduk Nepal 2021 mencatat, sebanyak 67,39% dari 4.961.412 jiwa penduduk Koshi menganut agama Hindu. Diikuti oleh agama Kirat sebanyak 16,84%, kemudian Buddha sebanyak 8,73%, Islam sebanyak 4,20%, Kristen sebanyak 2,32%, Prakriti sebanyak 0,45%, dan selebihnya adalah Bon, Jain, Bahai, dan Sikh sebanyak 0,08%.[1]
Etnis Chhetri, Hill Brahman, Tharu, Magar, Newar, Kami, Yadav, Damai, Thakuri, Sarki, dan Teli, kesebelas etnis ini kecuali etnis Magar, rata-rata 94% keatas, mereka menganut agama Hindu, sementara etnis Magar, 79% diantaranya menganut Hindu.[3]
Sementara etnis Tamnag, etnis mayoritas yang jumlahnya sekitar 1,5 juta, sebanyak 87,30% menganut agama Buddha, dan etnis lainnya yang mayoritas beragama Buddha yakni etnis Sherpa, Bhote, Yehlmo, dan etnis Gurung. Kemudian, etnis Rai, Limbu, dan Yakha, mayoritas menganut Kirat.[3]
