R136b adalah bintang Wolf-Rayet di gugus R136, Awan Magellan Besar.[5] Ini adalah salah satu bintang paling masif dan paling bercahaya yang diketahui. R136b ditemukan di gugus terbuka R136 padat di pusat NGC 2070, Nebula Tarantula.
R136b memiliki tipe spekttrum transisi antara O yang merupakan kelas bintang super raksasa dan bintang Wolf-Rayet, dengan campuran penyerapan dan garis. Meskipun ia menunjukkan peningkatan helium dan nitrogen di permukaannya, ia masih merupakan bintang yang sangat muda, masih membakar hidrogen di intinya melalui siklus CNO, dan masih efektif sebagai objek deret utama.[6]
