Ralph Wendell Burhoe

Ralph Wendell Burhoe (21 Mei[1] atau 21 Juni 1911 – 8 Mei 1997) adalah seorang pelopor tafsir agama untuk dunia saintifik dan teologi pada abad kedua puluh. Ia dianugerahi Penghargaan Templeton pada 1980.

Biografi

Ralph Wendell Burhoe lahir pada 21 Juni 1911, di Somerville, Massachusetts. Ia masuk Harvard University dari 1928 sampai 1932 sebagai murid meteorologi dan klimatologi, meskipun tak pernah meraih gelarnya. Ia kemudian masuk Andover Newton Theological School.[2] Burhoe belajar teologi selama delapan belas bulan di Andover.
