Randall Patrick Munroe (lahir 17 Oktober 1984)[1][2] adalah seorang kartunis dan penulis berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat. Ia merupakan pengarang dari komik daring xkcd. Dia dan komik daring tersebut telah mengembagkan sebuah kultus, dan setelah meninggalkan pekerjaannya di NASA, dia menjadi seorang artis komik daring profesional.[3]

Pengaruh

Pada September 2013, Munroe mengumumkan bahwa sekelompok pembaca xkcd telah mengumpulkan namanya sebagai salah satu kandidat penamaan ulang asteroid (4942) 1987 DU6 ke 4942 Munroe. Nama tersebut diterima oleh Persatuan Astronomi Internasional.[4][5][6]
