Rolls-Royce MT30

Rolls-Royce MT30 (Marine Turbine) adalah mesin turbin gas laut berdasarkan mesin aero Rolls-Royce Trent 800. MT30 mempertahankan 80% kesamaan dengan Trent 800, mesin untuk Boeing 777. Peringkat daya maksimum adalah 40 MW dan daya efisien minimum 25 MW.

Rolls-Royce mengumumkan pemrograman MT30 pada 11 September 2001. Mesin pertama kali dijalankan pada 6 September 2002. Pada awal 2003, MT30 dipilih untuk memberi daya pada kapal induk masa depan (CVF) Angkatan Laut Kerajaan dan demonstran DD Angkatan Laut AS. kapal perusak multi-misi. Pada bulan Juni 2004 Lockheed Martin memberikan kontrak mesin kepada MT30 untuk desain kapal tempur pesisirnya.[1][2]

Pada tahun 2012 perusahaan mengemas ulang MT30 sehingga muat ke kapal yang lebih kecil, dan pesanan pertama mereka datang dari Korea Selatan, untuk fregat kelas Daegu mereka.
