Ryuta Kawashima (川島 隆太, Kawashima Ryūta, kelahiran 23 Mei 1959) adalah seorang neurosaintis Jepang yang dikenal karena penampilannya dalam serial permainan video Brain Training/Brain Age untuk Nintendo DS dan Nintendo 3DS.[1]

Biografi

Kawashima lahir pada 23 Mei 1959 di Kota Chiba, Prefektur Chiba, Jepang. Pada 1970an, ia masuk Universitas Tohoku. Setelah lulus dengan gelar M.D. pada jurusan kedokteran, ia berpindah ke Swedia untuk menjadi peneliti tamu di Karolinska Institutet. Ia kemudian pulang ke Tohoku dan sekarang menjadi Profesor. Ia terkenal di Jepang dan merupakan bekas anggota Dewan Nasional khusus Budaya dan Bahasa.
