Sejarah
SMP Negeri 1 Selopuro Berdiri sejak tanggal 29 September 1986, dengan nama SMP Negeri 3 Wlingi. Sesuai SK Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI Nomor 034/O/1997 tanggal 7 Maret 1997 berubah nama menjadi SLTP NEGERI 3 WLINGI. Sesuai SK KADIN PENDIDIKAN Kab. Blitar Nomor 893.3/4148/423.I07/2001 berubah nama menjadi SLTP Negeri 1 Selopuro. Sejak tanggal 9 Februari 2004 sesuai SK Bupati Blitar Nomor 37 tahun 2004 berubah nama menjadi SMP Negeri 1 Selopuro
