SMS Breslau

Kapal penjelajah Breslau

SMS Breslau adalah kapal penjelajah kelas Magdeburg dari Angkatan Laut Jerman, yang dibuat pada awal 1910-an. Setelah komisioningnya, Breslau dan Battlecruiser Goeben ditugaskan ke Mittelmeerdivision (Divisi Mediterania) sebagai tanggapan terhadap Perang Balkan. Setelah menghindari kapal perang Inggris di Mediterania untuk menuju Konstantinopel, Breslau dan Goeben dipindahkan ke Kekaisaran Ottoman pada Agustus 1914, untuk membujuk Ottoman untuk bergabung dengan Kekuatan Sentral dalam Perang Dunia I. Kedua kapal bersama dengan beberapa kapal Ottoman lainnya, menggerebek pelabuhan Rusia pada Oktober 1914, memicu deklarasi perang Rusia. Kapal-kapal tersebut berganti nama menjadi Midilli dan Yavûz Sultân Selim.
