Salmonelosis adalah infeksi akibat bakteri Salmonella. Kebanyakan orang yang terinfeksi salmonella mengalami diare, demam, muntah, dan sakit perut 12 hingga 72 jam setelah infeksi. Dalam kebanyakan kasus, sakit berlangsung 3 hingga 7 hari; kebanyakan orang yang terinfeksi dapat pulih tanpa penanganan. Namun, pada beberapa orang, diare dapat sangat parah sehingga patien menjadi dehidrasi dan harus dibawa ke rumah sakit.
