Samuel Barclay Beckett (13 April 1906 – 22 Desember 1989) adalah seorang novelis avant-garde dari Irlandia, penulis buku, naskah drama drama, puisi, dan sutradara teater. Ia juga menerjemahkan banyak karya sastra terkenal lainnya. Samuel dianugerahi Hadiah Nobel Sastra pada 1969. Naskah dramanya yang paling terkenal adalah Menunggu Godot (bahasa Inggris: Waiting For Godot) yang sering dipentaskan di panggung pertunjukan dan ditayangkan di stasiun televisi. Banyak dramawan dan sastrawan yang berpendapat bahwa dia adalah penulis terpenting abad ke-20. Banyak buku tentang dia yang telah ditulis.
