Scaled Composites Proteus
Scaled Composites Model 281 Proteus adalah pesawat sayap tandem daya tahan tinggi yang dirancang oleh Burt Rutan untuk menyelidiki penggunaan pesawat sebagai relay telekomunikasi ketinggian. Proteus sebenarnya adalah sebuah kendaraan multi-misi, dapat membawa berbagai muatan pada pylon ventral. Desain yang sangat efisien, Proteus bisa mengorbit di titik lebih dari 65.000 kaki (19.800 m) selama lebih dari 18 jam. Pesawat ini dimiliki oleh Northrop Grumman .
