Chad (bahasa Arab: تشاد; bahasa Prancis: Tchad), resminya bernama Republik Chad, adalah negara pedalaman di Afrika bagian tengah. Negara ini berbatasan dengan Libya di utara, Sudan di timur, Republik Afrika Tengah di selatan, Kamerun dan Nigeria di barat daya, dan dengan Niger di barat. Negara ini terkadang dijuluki "Jantung Mati Afrika" karena wilayahnya yang jauh dari laut dan iklim yang sebagian besar gurun.[1]
