Shunya Itō (伊藤 俊也, Itō Shun'ya, kelahiran 17 Februari 1937) adalah seorang sutradara film Jepang yang terkenal karena memulai serial Sasori (Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion, dll) dari film-film eksploitasi 1970an yang dibintangi oleh Meiko Kaji. Itō bekerja pada Toei Company pada kebanyakan masa kariernya. Ia memenangkan Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Citation untuk film pertamanya, Female Prisoner#701: Scorpion, pada 1972.[1]
Ia memenangkan Best Picture di Penghargaan Akademi Jepang pada 1985 dengan filmnya Gray Sunset,[2] sebuah cerita tentang seorang pria yang sembuh dari penyakit Alzheimer. Film tersebut kemudian menjadi entri Jepang pada Penghargaan Akademi untuk Film Berbahasa Asing Terbaik menggantikan Ran karya Akira Kurosawa.
Pada 1995, ia menyutradarai Lupin III: Farewell to Nostradamus. Pada 1998, ia menyutradarai drama Perang Dunia II Pride: The Fateful Moment yang memperlihatkan pandangan manusiawi dari Hideki Tōjō pada saat diadili di Pengadilan Militer Internasional untuk Timur Jauh.
