Simon Payaslian

Simon Payaslian adalah sejarawan, penulis, editor Armenia-Amerika, yang telah memegang Ketua Charles K. dan Elizabeth M. Kenosian dalam Sejarah dan Sastra Armenia Modern di Universitas Boston sejak 2007. Dari 2002 hingga 2007 ia memegang Ketua Kaloosdian/Mugar di Studi genosida Armenia dan Sejarah Armenia Modern di Universitas Clark.[1]

Payaslian adalah keponakan dari Catholicos Zareh I. Gelar doktor pertamanya diperoleh dalam Ilmu Politik dari Universitas Negeri Wayne, setelah itu ia melanjutkan untuk mendapatkan gelar doktor kedua dalam sejarah Armenia di Universitas California, Los Angeles di bawah bimbingan Richard Hovannisian, dengan judul disertasi "Kebijakan Amerika Serikat terhadap Pertanyaan Armenia dan Genosida Armenia".[2]
