Sistem Happy Monday

Sistem Happy Monday (ハッピーマンデー制度, Happī mandē seido) adalah keputusan pemerintah Jepang untuk memindahkan sejumlah hari libur nasional ke hari Senin sehingga libur akhir pekan bertambah panjang. Hari libur tidak dipindahkan ke hari Senin yang terdekat, melainkan ke hari Senin minggu tertentu mengikuti sistem yang digunakan di Amerika Serikat.

Hari Kedewasaan dan Hari Olahraga dan Kesehatan dipindahkan ke hari Senin berdasarkan undang-undang hari libur Jepang No. 141 tahun 1998, sedangkan Hari Laut dan Hari Penghormatan Orang Lanjut Usia dipindahkan ke hari Senin berdasarkan UU No. 59 tahun 2001.
