Sminthopsis, heinar (dalam bahasa Abinomn [1]atau donat (dari bahasa Noongar [2] ) adalah genus Sminthopsis, hewan berkantung berkaki sempit seukuran tikus Eropa. Mereka sebagian besar mempunyai pola makan pemakan serangga.
Taksonomi
Nama genus Sminthopsis diterbitkan oleh Oldfield Thomas pada tahun 1887, penulis mencatat bahwa nama Podabrus yang sebelumnya digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan spesies tersebut disibukkan sebagai genus kumbang. Jenis spesiesnya adalah Phascogale crassicaudata, diterbitkan oleh John Gould pada tahun 1844.
