Soket CPU Intel Socket 2 ZIF untuk Prosesor 486 dan Pentium

Socket-2 adalah sebuah soket prosesor yang digunakan oleh prosesor Intel 80486SX dan 80486SX2, Intel 80486DX dan 80486DX2, Intel 80486DX4 Overdrive serta 486 Overdrive. Socket ini diperkenalkan pada bulan Maret 1992. Soket 2 adalah salah satu rangkaian soket CPU tempat berbagai mikroprosesor x86 dimasukkan. Soket ini merupakan pengembangan dari Soket 1 yang diperbarui dengan dukungan tambahan untuk prosesor Pentium OverDrive.[1]

Socket ini memiliki karakteristik antara lain grid array (PGA) 19x19 Pin dengan zero insertion force (ZIF) atau tanpa kesalahan pemasangan dengan 238pin yang cocok untuk prosesor 486 SX, 486 DX, 486 DX2, 486 OverDrive, dan Pentium OverDrive 63 atau 83 MHz. Dengan tegangan operasi sebesar 5 volt.[1]
