Soket CPU
Dalam perangkat keras komputer, soket CPU atau slot CPU berisi satu atau lebih komponen mekanis yang menyediakan sambungan mekanis dan listrik antara mikroprosesor dan papan sirkuit tercetak (PCB). Hal ini memungkinkan penempatan dan penggantian unit pemrosesan pusat (CPU) tanpa menyolder.
Soket CPU terbuat dari plastik, dan sering kali dilengkapi dengan tuas atau kait, dan dengan kontak logam untuk setiap pin atau dudukan pada CPU.
