Sovkhoz (bahasa Rusia: совхо́з; IPA: [sɐfˈxos] ( simak), singkatan dari советское хозяйство, "kebun Soviet"), biasanya diterjemahkan menjadi kebun negara, adalah sebuah kebun milik negara. Istilah tersebut bermula di Uni Soviet. Istilah tersebut masih dipakai di beberapa negara pasca-Soviet. Ini biasanya kontras dengan kolkhoz, yang merupakan kebun milik kolektif. Tak seperti para anggota kolkhoz, yang disebut "kolkhoznik" (колхозники), para tenaga kerja sovkhoz resmi disebut "sovkhoz workers" (работники совхозов) dan terkadang (dan kemudian hanya secara kolokuial) "sovkhozniki".

Sovkhozy di USSR

Pada 1990, Uni Soviet memiliki 23,500 sovkhozy, atau 45% dari total jumlah kebun negara dan kolektif skala besar. Ukuran rata-rata dari sebuah sovkhoz adalah 15,300 hektar (153 km²), hampir tiga kali rata-rata kolkhoz (5,900 hektar atau 59 km² pada 1990).[1] Kebun-kebun Sovkhoz lebih dominan di bagian Asia Tengah dari Uni Soviet.
