Spermacoce[2] adalah sebuah genus tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Rubiaceae. Genus ini terdiri dari sekitar 275 spesies tumbuhan yang ditemukan di seluruh daerah tropika dan subtropis.[3] Keanekaragaman tertinggi terdapat di benua Amerika, diikuti oleh Afrika, Australia, dan Asia.

Deskripsi

Spesiesnya berupa terna atau perdu kecil dengan bunga berlobus empat berukuran kecil hingga sedang yang tersusun dalam bunga majemuk. Beberapa memiliki kelopak berwarna cerah dan menarik perhatian, khususnya spesies yang berasal dari Australia. Warna mahkotanya bervariasi, sering kali putih, tetapi juga semua corak biru, merah muda, dan merah marun. Buahnya biasanya berupa kapsul berbiji dua, terkadang berupa skizokarp atau buah geluk.
