Spirobolida adalah ordo kaki seribu berpunggung bundar yang berisi sekitar 500 spesies dalam 12 famili.[1] Sebagian besar spesiesnya hidup di daerah tropis, dan banyak yang berwarna cerah.[2] Pejantan dewasa memiliki dua pasang dari kaki yang dimodifikasi. Gonopodanya terdiri dari pasangan kaki ke-8 dan ke-9, gonopoda posterior digunakan dalam transfer sperma sedangkan gonopoda anterior digabungkan menjadi struktur seperti pelat tunggal.[3]
