Supaia adalah genus tumbuhan menyerupai pakis yang telah punah, kemungkinan termasuk pakis biji.[1] Spesies yang termasuk dalam genus ini hidup selama zaman Perm[2] di Amerika Utara,[2] Asia timur,[3] dan Madagaskar.[4] Daun-daunnya beradaptasi untuk meminimalkan kehilangan air, dan genus ini diperkirakan tumbuh sebagai pohon kecil (dengan tinggi hingga 4 meter (13 ft)) di lingkungan dataran lumpur yang sering mengalami kekeringan.[5]
