Teluk Penobscot

Teluk Penobscot merupakan sebuah ceruk dari Teluk Maine yang terletak di tengah selatan negara bagian Maine, di dekat Taman Nasional Acadia. Teluk mengalir dari Sungai Penobscot dan terkenal dengan tepi lautnya seperti Rockland dan Belfast. Daerah ini dihuni suku Penobscot selama 10,000 tahun, yang buktinya adalah tempat perkemahan kuno yang ditemukan di pesisir dan pulau teluk. Teluk ini juga tempat kekalahan angkatan laut Amerika yang signifikan saat Perang Revolusi Amerika di tahun 1779 ketika armada kapal angkatan laut dihancurkan pasukan Inggris. Teluk ini merupakan rumah bagi banyak koloni musim panas yang terkenal.[1]
