Termostat
Termostat adalah komponen perangkat pengatur yang mendeteksi suhu sistem fisik dan melakukan tindakan sehingga suhu sistem bisa dipertahankan mendekati titik yang diinginkan.
Termostat digunakan di perangkat atau sistem apa pun yang memanaskan atau mendinginkan hingga titik suhu yang diatur, contohnya termasuk pemanas gedung, pemanas sentral, AC, sistem HVAC, pemanas air, serta peralatan dapur termasuk oven dan lemari es serta inkubator medis dan ilmiah. Dalam literatur ilmiah, perangkat ini sering diklasifikasikan secara luas sebagai beban yang dikontrol secara termostatik (TCL). Beban yang dikontrol secara termostatik mencakup sekitar 50% dari keseluruhan permintaan listrik di Amerika Serikat.[1]
