Pada biologi, test (dari kata Latin "testa", yang berarti "mangkok bulat") merupakan cangkang keras dari beberapa hewan laut bulat dan protista, seperti pada landak laut dan mikroorganisme seperti foraminifera, radiolaria dan amoeba testat.[1] Istilah ini juga digunakan untuk penutup dari serangga sisik. Istilah berdekatan Latin, testa, merujuk kepada lapisan keras dari benih tumbuhan.

Test merupakan sebuah struktur rangka yang terbuat dari material keras seperti kalsium karbonat, kitin, silika, atau komposit lainnya. Oleh karena itu, test juga digunakan sebagai alat perlindungan untuk organ-organ lunak. Test merupakan salahsatu jenis mikrofosil yang paling umum dijumpai.[2]
