The Pale Blue Eye

The Pale Blue Eye adalah sebuah film horor Amerika Serikat tahun 2022 garapan Scott Cooper. Film tersebut diadaptasi dari novel karya Louis Bayard dan dirilis pada 23 Desember 2022 di Netflix. Film ini menceritakan seorang detektif veteran era 1830 bernama Augustus Landor yang menginvestigasi pembunuhan di Akademi Militer Amerika Serikat di West Point, New York. Film tersebut dibintangi oleh Christian Bale, Harry Melling, Gillian Anderson, Lucy Boynton, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Toby Jones, Harry Lawtey, Simon McBurney, Timothy Spall, Hadley Robinson, dan Joey Brooks.[1]

Sinopsis

Seorang detektif veteran bernama Augustus Landor (Christian Bale) yang menginvestigasi pembunuhan seorang kadet muda di Akademi Militer Amerika Serikat di West Point, New York. Kadet muda itu tewas secara misterius dan belum diketahui penyebabnya. Akademi kemudian meminta Landor untuk menyelidiki kasus tersebut demi menghindari publisitas negatif. Saat sedang melakukan penyelidikan, Landor didampingi asistennya yaitu Edgar Allan Poe (Harry Melling). Poe mempunyai keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang cerdas untuk memecahkan misteri dari kasus tersebut.
