"The Way I Am" adalah lagu penyanyi asal Amerika Serikat, Charlie Puth dari album studio keduanya Voicenotes (2018). Lagu ini ditulis dan diproduksi oleh Puth, dengan tulisan tambahan dari Jacob Kasher. Lagu ini awalnya dirilis oleh Atlantic Records sebagai single promosi kedua pada 3 Mei 2018 dan dikirim ke radio hit kontemporer Amerika Serikat pada 24 Juli sebagai single kelima dari album.

Musik video

Disutradarai oleh Colin Tilley, musik video lagu ini dirilis pada 9 Juli 2018.[1] Video menampilkan Puth berkeliaran dari satu ruangan ke ruangan lain, diselingi antara kilas balik dari pesta yang terjadi malam sebelumnya dan dia duduk sendirian di atas atap rumah, saat pengunjung pesta minum dan menari melewatinya dengan gerakan cepat.[2] Sepanjang video, ia memperhatikan seorang wanita berambut cokelat; mereka bertatap muka dan saling senyum saat pesta berakhir.[3] Salvatore Maicki dari The Fader menganggap video ini sebagai "estetika yang bagus dan mengingatkan zaman akhir tahun 90-an", sementara penulis PopSugar, Mekishana Pierre berpendapat bahwa karakter Puth memiliki kemiripan dengan Jordan Catalano di My So-Called Life.[4]
