Thomas Gold[3] (22 Mei 1920 – 22 Juni 2004[4]) adalah astrofisikawan, profesor astronomi di Universitas Cornell, anggota U.S. National Academy of Sciences, dan Fellow of the Royal Society (London) asal Amerika Serikat kelahiran Austria.[4] Gold adalah salah satu dari tiga ilmuwan Cambridge muda yang pada 1948 mencetuskan hipotesis alam semesta "keadaan tetap" yang kini banyak ditinggalkan. Karya Gold menyilangkan batas-batas akademik dan saintifik, dalam biofisika, astronomi, teknik kedirgantaraan dan geofisika.
