Tulang pterigoid


Pterigoid adalah sepasang tulang yang membentuk lelangit mulut banyak vertebrata, di belakang tulang palatina.[1]
Tulang ini berupa lamina tipis dan pipih, menyatu ke sisi medial prosesus pterigoid tulang sfenoid, dan ke lamina sejajar tulang palatina.[2] Pada banyak tetrapoda awal, tulang pterigoid menyandang gigi (dentisi palatal), yang dipertahankan oleh beberapa squamata modern.[3]
