Sturtevant Tice "Ty" Burr (kelahiran 1957) adalah seorang kritikus film Amerika yang menulis untuk The Boston Globe.

Kehidupan dan karier

Burr telah menjadi kritikus film untuk Boston Globe sejak 2002. Lahir pada 1957, ia belajar film di Dartmouth College dan New York University.

Ia adalah anggota Boston Society of Film Critics dan National Society of Film Critics. Burr telah menulis artikel-artikel untuk The New York Times, Spin, The Boston Phoenix, dan publikasi lainnya. Beberapa film yang Burr beri rating tinggi adalah Broken Flowers, Sideways dan Million Dollar Baby.[2] Ia memulai kariernya di Home Box Office pada 1980an, bekerja sebagai Evaluator Film atau kritikus rumah film. Dari 1992 sampai 2002, ia berkarya untuk Entertainment Weekly sebagai kepala kritikus video dari majalah tersebut. (Burr terkadang masih berkontribusi pada majalah tersebut.)
