UMTS (bahasa Inggris: Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) adalah salah satu teknologi telepon genggam 3G (generasi ke-3). Sekarang ini bentuk yang paling banyak digunakan adalah W-CDMA yang distandardisasi oleh 3GPP.
Untuk membedakan UMTS dari teknologi 3G lainnya, UMTS sering kali dipasarkan sebagai 3GSM, menekankan dasar 3G dari teknologi ini.
