Bajing tanah merriam (Urocitellus canus) adalah sebuah spesies hewan pengerat dalam famili Sciuridae. Hewan ini hidup di Amerika Serikat bagian barat, tepatnya di Idaho, Nevada, dan Oregon.
Deksripsi
Bajing tanah merriam merupakan sejenis bajing tanah berukuran kecil dan berbulu kelabu, dengan tampak yang relatif umum. Dewasa panjangnya berkisar antara 18,8 hingga 21,8 sentimeter (7,4 hingga 8,6 in) dari kepala ke ujung tubuh, dengan ekor sepanjang 3,1 hingga 5 sentimeter (1,2 hingga 2,0 in). Meski bobot mereka bervariasi sepanjang tahun, tergantung oleh nutrisi, rata-rata bobot dewasa adalah 144 hingga 210 gram (5,1 hingga 7,4 oz) untuk betina, dan 146 hingga 300 gram (5,1 hingga 10,6 oz) untuk jantan.[2]
