Virginia Cherrill (12 April 1908 – 14 November 1996) adalah seorang aktris Amerika yang dikenal karena berperan menjadi gadis tuna netra penjual bunga dalam film City Lights (1931) karya Charlie Chaplin.
Kehidupan awal
Virginia Cherrill lahir di sebuah perkebunan di pedesaan Carthage, Illinois, dari pasangan James E. dan Blanche (née Wilcox) Cherrill.[1] Ia awalnya tak berencana untuk berkarier film, tetapi ia berteman dengan Sue Carol (yang kemudian menikahi Alan Ladd) yang kemudian mengantarnya ke Hollywood.Ia telah dipilih menjadi "Ratu Balai Artis" di Chicago pada 1925[1] dan diundang untuk tampil pada berbagai acara panggung oleh Florenz Ziegfeld, sebuah tawaran yang ia tolak.
