William Reibert Mapother Jr.[1] (/ˈmeɪpɒθər/; lahir 17 April 1965) merupakan seorang aktor Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal dengan perannya sebagai Ethan Rom dalam serial televisi Lost (2004–2010). Ia dikenal sebagai aktor dalam film In the Bedroom (2001) dan Another Earth (2011).

Latar belakang

William Mapother lahir di Louisville, Kentucky, dan merupakan putra Louisa Riehm dan William Reibert Mapother Sr (1938–2006).[2] Ia berketurunan Inggris, Irlandia dan Jerman. Ia merupakan sepupu pertama dari aktor Tom Cruise (yang nama lahirnya adalah Thomas Cruise Mapother IV). Ayahnya merupakan seorang pengacara, konsultan dan hakim di Louisville tahun 1967–1970, kemudian meninggal pada tanggal 22 Juni 2006 setelah berusaha melawan kanker paru-paru dan fibrosis paru.[1]
