World Animal Protection (sebelumnya bernama The World Society for the Protection of Animals) adalah suatu organisasi nirlaba internasional untuk keselamatan hewan yang telah beroperasi lebih dari 30 tahun. Lembaga amal ini menjelaskan visinya sebagai: sebuah dunia di mana kesejahteraan hewan suatu yang harus diselesaikan dan kekejaman terhadap hewan telah berakhir.

World Animal Protection memiliki pusat regional di: Afrika, Asia, Eropa, Amerika Latin dan Amerika Utara, dan kantor di 14 negara. Kantor internasional berada di kota London.

Sejarah

Organisasi ini sebelumnya dikenal dengan nama World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). Ini merupakan hasil dari merger dari 2 organisasi perlindungan hewan pada tahun 1981. World Federation for Protection Animals (WFPA) didirikan pada tahun 1953 dan Internasional Society for Protection of Animals (ISPA) didirikan pada tahun 1959. Pada tahun 2014, lembaga amal ini menjadi World Animal Protection, dengan anggaran £ 168.000.
