Wungguli

Wungguli adalah genre sastra lisan Gorontalo. Genre sastra ini berbentuk prosa yang berisi silsilah atau riwayat hidup dan sejarah. Dalam wungguli terdapat unsur-unsur pembangun cerita seperti tokoh, latar, jalan cerita, tema, dan amanat.[1] Cerita-cerita dalam wungguli kebanyakan membahas tentang cerita tokoh-tokoh (raja dan bangsawan) ataupun manusia biasa (petani dan pemburu, dan lain-lain). Wungguli dipercaya oleh masyarakat sebagai cerita yang benar.[2]
